Introduction

A wee hello from myself

Dia dhaoibh,
Is mise Aoife - My name is Aoife, at the moment I live in Scotland, as part of an incredible land-based community project (which I'm looking forward to sharing more about here in the near future). However I was born and raised in Ireland.
I walk a path intimately woven with the land, my ancestors of blood, and the Tuatha De Danann, the ancient mythical ancestors. 

I facilitate spaces and ceremonies to offer healing, remembrance of old ways, & to build a bridge between us and the more-than-human world. This is the worlds of the plants, trees, elements, animals, ancestors - the sacred web of life of which we come from and are a part of.

I am devoted to constantly learning, new skills, knowledge, sitting in stillness with the land & re-imagining land-based, seasonal, rituals which work with the indigenous ways of my Gaelic heritage. It is akin to soul retrieval, on a personal and collective level - to heal what has been taken, given away, abandoned and held hostage by the oppressive systems which attacked our ancient & powerful lineages. Drawing upon what we have retained & remained, but also breathing new life into that ancestral ember, tending it for the future generations to benefit from.

I am also dedicated to my own healing path, and offering a space for others to experience the healing that occurs when we step into relationship & reciprocity with the natural world. The trees are my teachers, the ones who hold the original instructions, and in our Gaelic culture they are the sacred witness to all life's wisdom. 

I believe this is a medicine so needed in the world we live in, which is heavily colonized and oppressed. Where few very greedy people hold ridiculous amounts of power - control - manipulation - domination. They feed off the resources of Indigenous land; and it is this force that has fragmented our cultures, our languages and our relationship with land.

So my mission and joy is to repair the threads, firstly in my own life - healing bit by bit, and offering this as a prayer, that others may know the same is possible.  That we may sew ourselves back into sacred kinship with all of life again. I can be radical and strong in some ways, but also incredibly soft and compassionate simultaneously.

I offer ceremonies, retreats, ancestral gatherings, online courses, group pilgrimages and 1:1 work from time to time. Keep an eye out for up-coming courses and events here in Scotland in the year ahead!
